New Fire Safety Law

New Fire Safety Law – Do You Know Your Responsibilities?
Part 3 and Schedule 2 of the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 are due to come into force on 1 October 2006.  Part 3 of the Act specifies who has responsibility for fire safety in non-domestic premises in Scotland and you may find that you have some new responsibilities under this law.  A Fire Safety Guidance Booklet has been produced in order to advise people what steps they need to take to comply with the new law and this has been distributed to 162,000 organisations across Scotland.  However if you need additional copies of this guidance or would like further information on the new law and how it will affect you, please visit the infoscotland.com website.
