Oban Community Sensory Garden

Our vision of a Sensory Garden for the community is nearer to its goal with the success of our funding bids we can now progress to the construction stage. 

If you live in Oban area and would like to become involved then please contact us to register your interest.  This garden will be for use of the  whole community and we encourage you to become involved to develop our vision.  You do not need to be a gardener to be part of this project. 

The Sensory garden evolved from a community building event asking people to choose something  which they felt  would develop greater community capacity and social inclusion for people with disabilities.  

Little did the people at the consultation realise the hurdles ahead but the vision remains for a garden that  will be accessible to all and encompass the five senses.  The committment of those original volunteers can only provide further proof of the need for this project to succeed.

This garden will be  a hub of activity for the community and a haven for locals and visitors to  appreciate the environment around them.
