History

This web site, which was launched on Friday 28 October, is a gateway to the many community and voluntary groups based in mainland Argyll, the Islands of Argyll, and the Islands of North Ayrshire - Arran and the Cumbraes. It covers the Argyll and the Islands Enterprise area and includes Helensburgh.

The aim of this site is  to offer these diverse groups the ability to have their own place on the Internet and to reach an audience which could be just their own members or a global one.

If you would like more information about a website for your group then please phone Louise on 01546 606808 or email louise.logue@argyllcvs.org.uk

Do you wish to join a group, become a volunteer, start your own community group or just look for information about activities in your local area, then this is the place to start.

This web site has been developed with assistance from the local enterprise companies, Argyll and the Islands Enterprise and Scottish Enterprise Dunbartonshire along with EU funds from the Community Economic Development Programme.

This portal aims to be a source of advice for groups and individuals. With this in mind, each Council for Voluntary Services (CVS) in the area has its own site, as does the Argyll and Bute Volunteer Centre . To enter a CVS site hover over coloured area of the map and click. Hover over the buttons to see the groups with web pages on this site.
