Help us to make Argyll & Bute a suicide safer community

We are working to reduce suicide and self-harm across Argyll & Bute. We are doing this through awareness raising, work with the media and training to increase the capacity across the community to deal with suicide.

We hope to reduce the stigma that surrounds suicide and that people will be able to share how their lives have been touched by suicide as we try to prevent more deaths. We believe that many deaths by suicide can be prevented and would like to see as many people as possible learning suicide first aid skills and becoming suicide alert helpers.

Choose Life is a short term funded project which will raise the profile of suicide prevention in our community with the long term aim of embedding the work in organisations such as the council, NHS and voluntary organisations.
