The 60 th Annual Argyll Drama Festival of One-Act Plays will be held in the Public Hall, Ardrishaig from Tuesday April 22nd to Friday 25th 2008, commencing each evening at 7.15 p.m. This year 15 amateur drama teams from all over Argyll + Bute, including teams from the Isles of Mull and Arran, will take part..Each evening three or four one -act plays will be performed ; the teams also compete for a number of trophies rewarding team and individual performances, including a trophy for the best junior team. The Festival is run by the Festival Committee according to the criteria adopted by the Scottish Community Drama Association. The professional, independent adjudicator provides a public review each evening of the plays presented, and on the last evening the adjudicator awards the various trophies. In 2008 the adjudicator will be Ms. Silvie Taylor, well known in the british amateur drama world.
